Tervetuloa takaisin! :clap:

OneEuro is about... 1.54 USD, I think... So I think I get about 523 USD per paycheck. Not all that much more as you do, but it's one heck of a paycheck to me. :D
Now.. What did the EU bring to Finland other than the currency...? Uh, well... Crossing the borders between the EU countries has become easier, which is both good AND bad. Also... we have many useless, waste-of-time directives. For example a directive about how curved a cucumber may be. -__-
~Sturmgeschutz:iconSturmgeschutz: Apr 29, 2008, 1:46:49 PM
Trader Joe's is actually a German company, so maybe they might have some there. Or maybe they just might own us all in America and not do anything else. How many Euros do you make per paycheck? I make about... um 400-500 USD. How much is a Euro to a USD? I always forget. All I know is that it is shit compared to Euros. One of my customers made a comment about how she often didn't convert her dollars into the local money because dollars were worth more, now she says she's tempted to keep her dollars as Euros. Heh. stupid economy. Anyway. Other than money, what else did the EU bring to Finland?

Yea, I remember you worked in Trader Joe's when we were in CA. We don't have TJ stores anywhere in FInland. I wonder if there even are any TJ stores outside of America....? Well, aaaaanyway. I work at a local industry that makes air conditioners... Not too interesting or anything, but my paychecks are pretty darn good in nay case, so I'm not complaining. And yes, we use euros in Finland, Finland being part of the European Union. : P The currency is pretty much the only good thing EU brought us, if you ask from me... Euro did make the prices go through the roof, though. Everything's more expensive because of that bloody munneyyyy. But it's a much stronger currency than the old markka we used to have.

That's nice. Yeah, being alive is expensive, no? Where do you work? I work in a Trader Joe's, a grocery store (I don't know if they are around in Finland). It's nice there, just a little overwhelming sometimes. Do you use Euros in Finland?

Heh, yeah, took me quite a while to respond to your comment as well. Last week I suddenly got a call that I have to go to work, so off I went! About time they informed me, though. I was afraid they aren't taking me this year... And I could use some money for my (hopefully) future life in some university. Of course, it reduces my reading time tremendously but whateverrr... It's not like I read from dusk till dawn earlier anyway... 50 pages a day is good enough for me, I can keep up that pace.

Yes, I am doing excellent thank you. A little hectic myself, getting ready for the move to Oregon and all. I'm pretty sick of LA and I want to move there now and just be out of here. Working a lot, which is why it has taken me 3 days to respond to this. Lots and lots of job work, and as much as I love my job, I want to do something different now. Not getting much time to do things. And to boot I'm trying to save money but it seems the gods have deemed me unworthy. I had car insurance ($116), car registration ($54), car insurance renewal ($244), Income tax payment ($90), Cell phone bill ($45, which bugs me, seeing as I rarely talk on it, and it is mostly my mom who uses the minutes, but I still pay about half) and all sorts of other rather expensive things all hit me at once. X( So yeah, oh, and I almost forgot, gas got more expensive too. I know it still isn't even close to Finland, or all of Europe for that matter. Anyway, on a more positive note though, the Renn Faire is coming up, so I am excited about that. Also, the move to Oregon is (slowly) approaching, so that is making me happy that it is finally getting near. Today is also payday, which makes me happy too. Yes, so enough ranting from me. Entance exams for college?

Yeah, Heli basicly lived in India for half a year to do some voluntary work in an orphanage. ^^ But if she is going to India again, she better bring me that sari fabric and a turban this time! ò__ó Otherwise I'll eat her paychecks.
Ok, I just called her about that "moving to Sweden" business, and she said she was going to move to Sweden for a year or so as an exchange student, but apparently that ain't happening after all.
Thanks for the compliment! I hardly ever do any upload-worthy art nowdays, though, since I don't really have that much time on my hands. Especially starting tomorrow it's gonna be a little hectic for me since I got to know I have to go working tomorrow, which in turn means I must dedicate all my remaining free time for my entrance exam studies... So yea, a little busy, I am... ^^;
How about you? You doin' fine?
~Sturmgeschutz:iconSturmgeschutz: Apr 14, 2008, 5:15:46 PM
??? She's been to India before? Wow. Yeah, she said something about moving to Sweden or something like that. I think it was just for school, but she sent me a note on facebook about it a month or two ago. Regardless, how are you doing? You make some very impressive art.

My sis... moving to another country? What the hell.. I don't think so! At least not permanently. >__> ...I, uh, think... She hasn't said anything of the sort to me! But she did mention something about trying to get into this one program which would ultimately take her to India for some time... AGAIN.
~Sturmgeschutz:iconSturmgeschutz: Apr 14, 2008, 10:54:13 AM
So your sister informs me that she is moving to another country? (This is Adam, Chessie's slave, by the way.)
